Our Story - The Local Kids Network

The story begins with Alysha, a mum of two young adventurous boys, a toddler girl and another on the way! Here is her account of how it all began - "The idea came to life when I was pregnant with my third baby and navigating the next steps after being laid off. This experience fuelled my passion for creating something meaningful for families like mine. Living in such a vibrant area with an active family community, I noticed there wasn’t a central place where parents could easily find all the amazing activities, events and resources happening hyper- locally. And so, Hello Kingston Kids was born—a specialised hub created by parents, for parents, connecting families with everything our community has to offer. Soon after... Hello Wimbledon Kids was created!"

"In the spring of 2024, a chance meeting at a local playground turned into something so much more. That’s where I met Alana, a fellow expat and mum with kids the same age. Alana moved to the UK in 2019 and to Kingston in early 2024. She was already a fan the Hello pages and, like me, passionate about building connections for local families. We hit it off immediately and decided to join forces!"

Now, the dynamic duo, spend their time running Hello Kingston Kids and developing our umbrella company, The Local Kids Network. Watch this space as they have big plans to expand in the near future!

Let's skip to September 2025 and the birth of Hello Richmond Kids.  I am Ally, a local mum on maternity leave with my first baby. I am a lawyer by day and the Hello Richmond Kids mama by night!

Tackling new parenthood whilst finding engaging and fun groups to take your baby to can often be overwhelming. It is for this reason that I have put together all the information you will find within this website. I hope that having everything at your fingertips will take away the stress of finding something to do or finding baby friendly activities in Richmond and Twickenham.

I can't wait to showcase the amazing things our area has for our littles and hopefully meet many of you along the way. Watch this space!
